GROSS Sensory Play For Halloween

– [Priscilla] Grab your pumpkin. (Abbie vocalizing) – [Asa] Get your pumpkin. Get your pumpkin. Yeah, we’re gonna play. Come on, this’ll be fun. (Abbie vocalizing) Come on. Pumpkin-carving time. (Abbie vocalizing) Put it on the table. Good job! What’s up, guys? Welcome to another video, one of our favorite
Halloween videos to make because Abigail gets
to do some sensory play while we’re carving our pumpkins. – Come here, look. You ready? Go ahead. – Get in there. – Sometimes, we really– (laughs) You know already, huh? Go ahead, put your hand in there. (laughs) Scoop it. Put it in the bowl. Good job! Keep going. Keep going. Ooh, that’s a good one. You gonna put your hand in there? Put your hand in there, come on. I know, you’re all excited. (laughter) Come on. – Get it out of there. (laughs) Get it out of there. Go ahead. (spooky music) (groans) Oh, that’s good stuff, huh? (laughter) – Go ahead. – Get the guts, get it! – Go ahead. – No, use your hand, go ahead. I gotta use this. (spooky music) – [Priscilla] Oh, now we’re getting there. Good. – [Asa] Slippery, slimy, ugh. (groans) (laughter) This is why we’re outside. – That’s why we do it outside. – Go ahead, keep going. Gotta get some still shots. – Come here, come here. We got two to do. (laughter) This is just like every– Ah, no, yuck, it’s gross. I don’t care if you eat
it, it’s just gross. I wouldn’t eat it. – Here, keep going, Mama
will take a picture. – Every year, this is like
the best sensory play. She has such a good time with it. It’s like she’s always
been apprehensive, though. – Yeah. – [Asa] Okay, so what
are we going to carve in these pumpkins? Oh, she’s digging in over here. Oh, yeah, that’s good stuff, huh? (Abbie vocalizing) – [Priscilla] Oh my
goodness, look at all that. – [Asa] Keep going, keep going. Good job. Get all of it. Look down in there, look down in there. (Abbie vocalizing) You have to experience the whole– – Oh no. – Come on, come on. Do what Abbie’s doing. Try it. – [Priscilla] Ugh. – Come on, here, watch out. – This is…ugh. – You ready? Do it. – I think I’m a sensory avoider. (laughs) She’s a seeker. – Hold on. – Oh, this is awful. It’s so bad. (retches) Oh my gosh. I don’t like that at all. – No? – No. – She loves it. She’s like, here, let me show you. – It’s so slimy. – Let me show you. – Oh my gosh, I can see
why she does like it, but oh, no. – Okay, so let me know
if you guys tried that. I want to see who likes
it and who doesn’t. So we are going to get her cleaned up. We’re going to get you cleaned up. Oh my gosh, you’re disgusting. We’re going to get you cleaned up and then we gotta to carve these pumpkins. We gotta figure out what
we’re going to carve. (Abbie vocalizing) – Oh, we don’t have to clean you up. – We can keep going for a minute, sorry. We gotta figure out what we’re going to carve these pumpkins, what shapes we’re gonna put in them. – Maybe we could look up some shapes and then let her pick? – Yeah, that’d be a good idea. – [Asa] You like the Cheshire Cat? – I don’t think Dad could do that. – [Asa] Girl, I can’t. I mean, I don’t have that kind of time on my hands right now. – How about one of these? Look at one of these. – [Asa] How about like a
traditional jack-o’-lantern? Which one do you like? Oh, for goodness sakes, please don’t cry. It will break my heart. I’ll be up all night. You want the goofy one? – She likes the owl, Dad. – [Asa] Okay. – Is that a hard one? – [Asa] No. I can do that. – Do you like the owl? – [Asa] No, come on, we’re
going to carry it in. And we’re gonna carve it. Go ahead. Up the stairs. Go put it on the island. Good job! All right. Am I doing okay? You look concerned. Don’t worry. It will turn out kind of like an owl. Do you want to take the chunks out and put them in there? Say, yes, I do. Nope, in the bowl. Good job. Thank you. Good job. It doesn’t look anything like an owl. – [Priscilla] No? – No. – [Priscilla] Well, that’s okay. – Okay, I gotta make one special for Abbie since I messed up her owl. It’s terrible, I’m a good pumpkin carver. – Right? Normally. – I don’t know what happened. Okay, I’m gonna make one for Abbs special. – Special. – Yeah. – This one wasn’t special? – I’m going to make up
for it with this one. – [Priscilla] Oh, okay. – [Asa] Abbie! Abb, come see your jack-o’-lanterns. Come here! Here, hold my hand. There you go, turn around. What do you think? (Abbie vocalizing) – Do you like them? She’s smiling. – [Asa] Aw, do you like them? – Look at that, Daddy did so good. That’s cool, too. – [Asa] So, that’s the owl, sort of. – [Priscilla] Aww – [Asa] That’s kind of an owl. And that’s Abbie when she does her squinty smiley face. – [Priscilla] Oh, my gosh, that’s so cute. – [Asa] You know when she squints when she’s getting all giggly? – [Isaiah] That’s so funny. (Abbie vocalizing) – [Asa] Do you like it? – [Priscilla] I love them! – [Asa] Good. – [Isaiah] I love that Abbie’s nose is just two holes– – [Priscilla] Hey, do you like it, Abb? She’s so nervous out here. – [Asa] Oh, help me Maverick. Help me. – [Isaiah] Was is not bright enough? – [Asa] Huh? Oh, I couldn’t find candles. – [Isaiah] Oh, so you just put– – [Asa] Yeah. – [Isaiah] Not sponsored. – [Asa] Lume cube. – Lume cube, not sponsored. – [Asa] Not only the
best light for vlogging, best light for jack-o’-lanterns. Aw, he’s all grown up. He doesn’t do like Halloween
activities with us anymore. – Aw.
– Aw, it’s okay. Maybe you’ll go with us trick-or-treating. – Yeah. – Or do you have plans? – I don’t have any plans,
it’s a Thursday night– – Wow that’s sad, bro. – Well I can’t have plans,
it’s a school night. (laughter) – All right guys, we wanted to give you a little Halloween video on Halloween, so there you go, and stay tuned because we’re gonna do the trick-or-treating thing and the costumes thing and all that soon. Bye!
– Bye guys! – Bye! (beep) (laughter) (laughter) (laughter) – [Asa] Where ya going? (giggling) Aw, goodness. (laughter)

  1. I always loved playing in the guts after carving my pumpkin, I just hate being sticky afterwards. Abbies lip smacking stim is THE cutest!

  2. Hey beautiful girl heyyy! Oh my gosh the ending made me so happy. You have the best kids and you are the best parents. Yall never need to doubt if you did a great job raising them cause you both knocked it out of the park! I adore all of you! Cilla, I am not a sensory seeker either. I gag watching people touch ooey gooey stuff too lol. I love watching how happy it makes Abbie though.

  3. +Priscilla if you can somehow get past how Nasty it feels, did you know how INCREDIBLE…again…INCREDIBLE that pumpkin guts really is for the skin? It’s sooooo nourishing to the skin like you wouldn’t believe! It’s an natural exfoliate/pore-minimizer, a cellular regenerator, cellulite reducer, moisturizer, anti-fine lines/wrinkles reducer…..skin firming, anti-aging, natural Vitamins Protein and minerals, anti-oxidant, antiseptic qualities, all without the chemical additives BS!!! Perfect for full body wraps and facials!! Isn’t Nature amazing? Just one pumpkin can seriously work wonders! You can blend it, then freeze in cubes, and once a week, pull a cube out thaw it and apply with ground oatmeal as a mask or just on its own and after so many applications, you will see a difference like you have never seen before! TRUST ME…..I have done this for myself and my sister!! My mother’s too chicken…but she’ll bend one of these days! Haha

  4. We had the kids at work Apple bobbing in water and pumpkin guts today, and are using the seeds for sensory play next week. They're great mixed with water and washing up liquid in a shallow tray, so slippy!

  5. Yes Finally, I have been waiting for this One, as I love seeing Abbie at Sensory Play as She is just so Happy when doing so πŸ™‚

Hope You Guys are still having a Great Time in Vegas.

    now, the Vlog.

    Hey Abbie πŸ™‚

A Happy and Excited Abbie is Exactly the Tonic I need right now!

If that Smile of Abbie's gets Any Bigger, it will be Visible from Orbit πŸ™‚

Pumpkin Guts May be absolutely Disgusting, but they are everything Abbie wants from Sensory Play, Hot, Smelly, Squidgy, and Gross, so, its Kind of a Shame She only gets to do it once a Year.

Ahh, the Victory Lap of Excitement πŸ™‚ not seen that for a While, lovely to see it again πŸ™‚

Eating Pumpkin Guts? Ewwww! No thank You!

Yup, there's the Bubbling Stim, proof Positive that Abbie is loving every Second of the Sheer Gruesomeness of Pumpkin Guts!

Don't Worry Abbie, there is no Rush, carry on Playing.

We do not do Halloween in My Family, we Disapprove of it Intensely, in fact, We, My Family that is , want it Outlawed in the United Kingdom, as a Result, we do not have any Pumpkin Guts for Me to Try out.

Why was Abbie giving You the "Side Glare of Doom" when You were Carving that Pumpkin?

Sorry You Fouled Up Abbie's Owl.

    Hey Maverick.

Yeah, I know the Abbie "giggling Squint" very Well πŸ™‚

I wouldn't like those Stairs Either, as they don't have any Hand Rails. I think I would just Crawl up them, so By Standing Up, Abbie did a lot better than I would.

    Bye Abbie πŸ™‚

Well take care now Guys, Bye.

PS. that "After the Bleep" was just the Cutest πŸ™‚

  6. I have a less severe type of autism, it makes me really sympathetic towards others with mental problems. Your daughter seems like a really nice person <3

  7. The thing I love about the end of this video is that when Abbie is laughing with Isaiah, you can hear her voice in there. Although she is nonverbal, you can hear her voice and her personality coming through when she is laughing. And it’s quite possibly the most adorable thing in the world. She’s such an awesome kid and I love the vlogs and watching her grow into a beautiful human.

  8. Awww the end was so beautiful, made my heart so happy seeing the amount of love a brother and sister have for each other. The best moment you've ever captured on video πŸ’š

  9. this is so fun! love seeing Ab so happy! I , like Abby LOVE pumpkin guts lol!!:) 24 yr old woman with no kids, and I carve pumpkins every year lol

  10. The look on Abby’s face when your carving is the absolute best! Just made my day πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

  11. I don't get to carve pumpkins as much as I like when it's Halloween but the best part is taking the inside of the pumpkin out

  12. I’m on the spectrum, and I like sensory things like putty for example, but I can’t stand clearing pumpkins. The feeling of the insides of the pumpkin makes me wanna freak out

  13. Hey guys. I’m new to the channel. I discovered your channel on Facebook. My boyfriends nephew has autism. He is 5 years old, his mom and dad have went through 4 tvs because the little boy, Xavier has thrown things at the tvs causing them to break. (QUESTION): My question is has Abbie ever had trouble with tvs? Does she like to watch movies?

  14. I LITERALLY smiles the whole video. I met the channel through SBSK, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to better understand what autism really is, as I only knew it through the scientific literature. I was passionate and intrigued by how much an autistic person (and any other condition or not) can normally develop their skills with the necessary attention. I say that, because here in Brazil, unfortunately our education system is quite different, where "inclusion" turns out to be a government strategy for education statistics to be "well regarded", where students with cognitive disabilities are trapped in mainstream education with no specific extracurricular support, making inclusion become "exclusive" because there is no individual progress with no right attention (I say that for sure, because my mother and sister are teachers and I live in a city with university centers). In another video, by beautiful Ruby, with Stromme Syndrome, I really cried with happiness to see her going to school with all the necessary physical and psychological support, with classes specific to her condition, where everyone includes her in daily activities, without emphasizing that it is different or something like that, but giving all the necessary support for its development. Despite the daily battles that you go through, whether they are with Abby or not, she is a lucky girl to have such a loving and understanding family and you to see that beautiful and sincere smile every day. In another video, I was thrilled with Mom saying that they can say whatever they want about her, but not with Abby; I know exactly that feeling, because I'm the mother of a two-year-old boy. And I say with all my heart that you are a wonderful mother, have a beautiful daughter and an amazing family. A very tight hug from Brazil. πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™(sorry if there were errors of agreement, I used the translator). 😁

  15. This has been the most requested video of my almost 5 year old Abby. She saw a movie of a pumpkin coming alive that scared her. So along with telling her that pumpkins don't have brains, hearts, lungs and other things that you need to be alive, I showed her this video to not only show her what the inside of a pumpkin looks like but also that your Abbie thinks pumpkins are fun and exciting. She loved it and keeps requesting to see it again.

  16. Your videos make my day. And now my 3 year old daughter begs me every night to watch Abbie. It’s special time for us together and she loves you guys. Thank you for all you do!

  17. I don't know what it is about squeezing the "guts" to the pumpkins but I absolutely LOVE doing itπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

  18. Her little fish noise stim is the cutest 😍 I'm with Abbie on the playing with the pumpin insides haha its so gross but so fun haha Isaiah chasing Abbie around the table reminds me of my childhood playing with my older brothers, hope that never changes between them 😊 the owl pimpkin is awesome by the way Asa πŸ˜„

  19. This was the best video. The look of
Pure joy on Abbie’s face while playing in the pumpkin guts, the side eye she was giving Asa as he carves the pumpkin and the bother sister love at the end of the video. I think I smile through the entire video.

  20. Abbies laugh at the end was so freaking contagious! I seriously hope I can raise my son to be a man like Isaiah.

  21. I love the end where they are playing together!! So sweet! I love seeing Abbie so happy and giggling! Great job on the pumpkin carving Asa!! Pricilla you look amazing!

  22. Why not let her separate the goo from the seeds. They toast them with for her. Teach her to separate the shell for the nut

  23. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ’ͺ you are really perfect family ❀❀❀ She is very cute girl and lovely girl ❀

  24. We added ketchup to make the pumpkin goop easier to see. It rinsed well, and my girls loved licking their fingers. Tons of fun!

  25. This one was too cute!!! I love Abbie’s reaction to the pumpkin guts, to Asa carving, and playing with Isaiah!! So sweet!

  28. I am new to watching vlogs and now a subscriber to Fathering Autism. Abbie is so adorable and as I have seen, lights up the room with her smiles and laughter. As her parents, I commend you for the love, patience, and overall support for Abbie and your son, Isaiah. Thank you for allowing me to join you on your journey.
